THE GROUP

The debut of Voz Ativa comprising fifteen vocals officially occurred in March 1997, with the show " Voce vai me seguir" (You will follow me).

Its repertoire included Latin songs, spirituals and Brazilian popular music. The group took part in various shows, recordings and concerts in 1997 and 1998, culminating in the sold out pilot show in 1999 called " Por Um Triz....", at the local theater of Osasco.

In July 2000, Voz Ativa Madrigal had a special participation in São Paulo season of the singers Kleiton & Kledir, in the show "Clássico Gaúcho" performed at Tom Brasil theater.

Voz Ativa develops Promusa, a sacred music project , wich had more than 40 concerts in cities closed to Sao Paulo´s metropolitan area and others cities in the São Paulo state, with an attendance of approximately five thousand people from April to November 2000.This phase included the recording of CD called "Pro Nobis", released in August , which in addition to showing the evolution of sacred musical, also positions the Brazilian composer at the same level of great names in Universal music. The Pro Nobis concerts was mentioned by the magazine " Concerto" as one of the highlight projects of the cultural agenda in 2000.

In 2000, Voz Ativa was considered the best vocal group of São Paulo stateby its Cultural Department, an award achieved through Mapa Cultural de São Paulo ( São Paulo Cultural Map).

In 2001, Voz Ativa signed a contract with the record company Lua Discos to record the CD " Natal e Paz" ( Christmas and Peace), comprised of traditional Christmas songs and new songs specially composed for this project and produced by Edgar and Márcio Gianullo. In 2003, the group was invited to present the Work Show "Singing without Conducting" in III RioAcappella, international convention of cappella music held in Rio de Janeiro.
